Title: Multipath IO (MPIO) for WinPE
Post by: outrages on February 04, 2018, 04:46:36 AM
Is it possible to port (create a cab, like with ReFS or dedup or a script with required files, like the iSCSI) with MPIO?

I need Windows Preinstallation Environment (WinPE) on the server with dozen LUNs - 8 paths each, so letter X: is used. If I boot to WinPE, I simply don't see the install media.
I need to use WinPE on host deployment - lot of hosts, monthly, so unmasking LUNs each time isn't a good option

Help please

Please, any idea?
I was able to extract cab from ServerCore, - it does work if I apply to Client OS. But it doesn't apply to WinPE.
How are such modules ported? DLL/EXEs and REG file into boot.wim? Ideas are welcome!

Thanks again!

Have you tried using NTLite?

If I use the CAB, created by SxS extractor, NTLite says same as DISM, that it doesn’t apply to WinPE image.
Have no idea how to add an unsupported feature to WinPE - possibly mount WIM and apply files and registry difference, I tried but it didn’t work either
