Plugins / Re: .NET Framework
« on: Today at 12:31:45 AM »
The following keys contained incorrect paths for .NET framework plugin with Run from CD selected.

The below keys are the corrected paths.  Add this to FinalY>Additional Registry for testing.   It still isn't perfect but maybe this will help with for "Run from CD"

Maybe someone can get the serial entry added to the plugin interface? Not sure.

Here is an updated FreeOffice 2016 plugin - Serial required during first run.

Or maybe nircmd can be used to enter serial when window pops up?

Unfinished but working.

Almost..

I was able to burn a Windows 10 1709 install USB fine without issue.

When I tried burning a Win10PESE USB it failed.   The device suddenly disappears about halfway through as logs show as if it is no longer connected. I tried this normally and then also with the host USB removed and rufus running from ram. Same results..

Maybe there is a USB issue on the machine I am using I have to test on something else tomorrow for sure...

Plugin I am was using is now attached to OP

hi tiek,

Edge browser uses the modern UI.  No one has gotten this working yet, it doesn't seem easy.  But as soon as I can find a good place to start I'll open a thread and pray for help

IE is a feature of windows not just a program(one of the reasons i put it in my "MyPlugins_Direct\Components" section), and in general, several things seem to depend on IE which is why I think we needed this plugin for further progress in other areas.  It is a very small step though..

Set,%PluginArch%,x86 targets System32 and SysWOW64 in a 64bit build

In 32bit system =====> x86 files in System32

In 64bit system =====> x64 files in System32 -> x86 files in SysWOW64

(In 64bit system) If you Set,%PluginArch%,x86 -> Require_FileQ,xxx.dll copies the DLL and associated MUI 's into System32 AND SysWOW64 to make sure you get the x86 versions too...

I will do more testing on my end standby..

Added F12 option

Added Yahoo! and DuckDuckGo to search provider list... (Now offers Bing, Google, Yahoo!, or DuckDuckGo)

Would have posted this sooner but I was working on getting shockwave to work with no luck..very close but for now the plugin is working very well without it..

Also confirmed flash is working perfectly now...

In Windows 10 v1709 the application BootRec.exe is not capable of /FixBoot without first deleting the Fat32 partition. It will give you an error every time you try to use it without doing so first.

This was not necessary in previous versions, you could simply run the command and it would work..

This is how to use your Win10PESE v1709 bootable media to repair the boot process of a Windows 10 UEFI volume. (Usually due to "No Boot Device Found" error) now that you have to delete the boot partition..

Code: [Select]
From within Win10PESE --

Open Command Prompt
Type in the command:

Diskpart

Type in the command:

List disk            (Note which disk is your Boot drive number mine is 0)

Type in the command:

Sel disk 0

Type in the command:

List vol               (Note which volume is the EFI partition mine is 4)

Type in the command:

Sel vol 4

Type in the command:

assign letter=V:

Type in the command:

Exit

Type in the command:

V:

After you have assigned a drive letter Using Diskpart You can format the EFI partition:

Example: if you assigned a letter V to the partition the command would be:

format V: /FS:FAT32

After the format you need to recreate the EFI directory structure with the command:

MD \EFI\Microsoft\Boot

Then change to the Boot directory with:

cd /d V:\EFI\Microsoft\Boot\

Then run:

bootrec /FixBoot

Finally run:

bcdboot c:\Windows /l en-us /s V: /f All

Added the rest of the dependencies, all video I have tested is now working perfectly.

New Features: Obviously...Video is now working...and also added the ability to add favorites (.url files) via plugin interface..

Plugin updated in original post.

I will try to add more search providers asap...

Perfect!

Thanks mynhow!

Plugin updated to v.2 in original post with credit given...

EDIT: Also added ieUnatt.exe -and- iedkcs32.dll and their .mui's for the Internet Options>Advanced>Reset option to reset all settings to defaults..

Is there anything else you changed?  I tried adding the files in your list to the existing plugin and still cannot get video to play correctly..

I still think I am correct in stating it is the "simsun" font.  Maybe freesoft00 can use another in its place by renaming another font to simsuns name and moving it into place or disable it completely.  I don't have much experience in simplified Chinese so I'm not sure of the negative effects...

That looks like font scaling ( zoom  ) not DPI... maybe disable simsun font? It may be the default spacing in simsun, I have had issues with it before..

Rufus v2.18 for Win10PESE x64

* Rufus_2.18_Plugin_v.1.7z (934.11 kB - downloaded 1 times.)

Can be used to self replicate USB's.  You could reburn the same USB with a different ISO after boot in an emergency(if all apps set to Run From RAM), and switch to something different.. Ninja moves

Without dependencies Rufus appears to run correctly and complete but it errors out during the format phase. Fixed thanks to JFX and mynhow

Pete (Author) is not aware of which dependencies may be needed for PE (No PE support)

I tried to trace dependencies for an hour or so with no luck so far.  Anyone interested please feel free to add...

Thank you JFX and mynhow
