Talk about other things ... / Modify multi string value
« on: March 30, 2014, 02:34:13 AM »
Hi all.
I have small problem when i try modify multi string registry via command. I do not know how to add another value without delete exits value.
I use this command to test
Code: [Select]
@echo off
set append=abcd
set key=HKLM\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4D36E967-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
set value=UpperFilters
set oldVal=
for /F "skip=2 tokens=3" %%r in ('reg query %key% /v %value%') do set oldVal=%%r
echo previous=%oldVal%
set newVal=%oldVal%%append%
set type=
for /F "skip=1 tokens=2" %%r in ('reg query %key% /v %value%') do set type=%%r
echo type=%type%
reg add %key% /v %value% /t %type% /d %newVal% /f
I get error "incorrect command line parameters.
With string value (REG_SZ), it seems ok. But with multi string value, it do not work.
Also I know with my key, previous value is partmgr. And new value is set to Partmgr0\0\abcd (it's wrong).
Can you help me solve it? Thank you so much! :smile:

Win8PE SE HomePage / TIB Shell for Acronis
« on: November 21, 2013, 01:42:36 AM »
Hi all
My friend was build small code, it will add acronis backup file in to explorer. So now, you can use explorer to open file TIB. He was build it with autoIT script, I re-make it with command line. I hope every body will translate it to winbuilder script.
