- Acronis boot media (UEFI)

Re-test in Chinese PE, now ATIH 2017 can auto detect your language PE and start with your language. Need some help: What key&dll when ATIH 2017 use to change language?

Can you test with change language code in registry?
There is no change, same as ATI2016, for the language key on PE side
Code: [Select]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis]
"language"=dword:0000000d  ;=13

Can you test change language from English PE (not chinese PE)? I can't change ATIH from English to Chinese (in English PE).

Acronis True Image 2017 multi language was make some change language key. For Linux boot media, it was change:
language=13 (chinese) to language=zh_CN (region code). In windows, language code write in this key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Acronis\Global]
"language"="" (REG_SZ value)
language code can see my pic.
For PE version, it don't work. May be need rescue media WinPE version (in other language) for check registry value.

Thanks for the news.
I confirm that the Encoded Beta serial registry works on PE

With newest acronis true image, it's 32 bit application. But WinPE version is 64 bit application. It has some change in registry key
- Language: Must store in WOW6432
- Serial: Must store in WOW6432
In winpe:
- Language: Must store in WOW6432
- Serial: Do not need store in WOW6432. If you start other 32 bit acronis first, you must store serial key in WOW6432.
For best, do not use 32 bit acronis for WinPEx64.

I am very curious that how do you discover missing dll and nls files without promon? :-?
Slow work! I use some winpe build from Russian. It does not build with winbuilder and it has more dll for use software. Compare different between two winpe. :D

If you want I can take pictures showing they are working nicely here....
I always make Basic build + test plugin + postconfig..

Test ExamDiff Pro plugin, if still not working there, please check with Procmon,
Procmon very clearly shows which nls missing....

Using procmon will take less time than pictures on catching missing .nls
I can use ExamDiff Pro without any *.nls.
Small question: How to use promon?

Network was not an issue before - My point was more to the fact something changed in Win10PESE...

Network setup and drivers loaded - just not connected in 8.1 or 10... 8.1 works..

I will test 10 with a connected network though...
I was test with 10PE 10586. It start normally if i connect to internet. But it's very slow to update database and I must use Mbam chameleon to use Mbam normally.

First off, I'd love to have MBAM working under Win8.1SE again.
KYHI's plugin looks labour-intensive and sophisticated so I decided to give it a go.
I selected "Run from RAM" and used my current test x64 build (with a few activated plugins).

Immediately after launching, mbam.exe threw an error (translated into english):
Quote
The exception "unknown software exception" (0x40000015) has occurred in the application at position 0x7451d6fd.
Try start network before start Mbam.

I did not download the setup, yet. I just use the unpack addon pakage on my side.
500Mb download and get 400kb for dll.

Since ATI 2015, and now ATI 2016, there are no 32-bit version available in AcronisTrueImage_addons.
Maybe it exists in another Acronis product.
Only need snapapi.dll. If you run ATI2016 on 32 bit system, you will get snapman.sys, snapapi.dll, fltsrv.dll for 32 bit. Other way, unpack ATI setup file and get it.

17
See if you get a Unsigned Driver Error - when boot UEFI or UEFI/SecureBoot
snapman.sys 4.7.0.2463 (was 4.7.0.2447)

Thanks for mentioning this issue!
Unfortunately, I don't have UEFI hardware to test this on at the moment, I will have to wait until I get a "fixer" computer to do that.
Can you upload snapapi.dll (4.7.0.2463) for 32 bit system? :D

Acronis True Image 2016 build 6027 multi language. Small change:
Code: [Select]
REG.exe Add HKLM\Software\WOW6432node\Acronis /f /v "language" /T REG_DWORD /D "1"
:)

- I got R-studio Emergency ISO from here

- I use IsoBuster extract some file (isolinux.img - boot loader, bootimage.img - Eltorio; Bootvolume folder)
- I make some change.
- But I do not know how to re-create file iso with mkISOfs.
Can Anybody Help Me?

Small problem with acronis startup recovery manager (version 2016). Must rename two files: ramdisk.dat & ramdisk64.dat to ramdisk_merged.dat & ramdisk_merged64.dat. With my test (on VMware, Acronis winpe build), I can't active F11 with error about "Bios disk number 128 not found". I think do not need copy file require for F11 (from folder Files).
