Development and code snippets / Re: Driver BackUp
« on: September 12, 2017, 01:51:53 AM »
Hi trashy
I do commend you for all the effort you put into your projects
For me, with the thousands of installs/builds i've done since Dos days there was not a driver backup need until around XP ish era.
since then its seems sensible to back up drvs and i've used several different progs to achieve that, but have to admit, i've never needed to use them in real life, so my interest is casual.
All I can say is I tried your app and it certainly worked on the win7 x64 desktop i currently using. On one of my Win10 machines i have virtual machines from W95 onwards, so if you would like any testing i'd be happy to help, just let me know, what your looking out for.
btw it would be useful to be able to select a drive/dir to backup to rather than just C:\drivers cos on my stuff C is normally a smaller fast drive i try and keep as clear as poss!
Anyway, keep up the good work  :great: :great:

Just to make users aware (for those as slow witted as me)
I've just spent many hours trying to resolve the registrations of ATI17 and ATI18 as the existing ATI17 had been registered and working
for a while, and whilst testing the new registered ATI18 i noticed that i was getting ATI17 unregistered and only after considerable time did it dawn on me that the second plugin registration, unregisters the first if run at the same build time.

I guess everyone will say, why would you want both at the same time? only because i wasn't sure of backward compatibility of
previous backups! but for me it was also simply in the project, when testing the other  :embarrassed:

same of course happens with ATI2016 if used with either ATI2017 or ATI2018

Hi Prz42
I did notice that the file that
was used in 2017 is now compressed in winpe_resources.dll

For me, it was in the similar place as the 2017 version
AcronisTrueImage2018 (9207).exe\AcronisTrueImage.msi\_35_52D78812FFC93DDE133DECBB0875BCA0\

Hi ChrisR
First, thanks for your great work and the latest project update.

I hope it's not just me , but in the latest StartIsBackplusplus plugin v14.  I seem to have a minor problem with the start menu orb selection
which don't change whichever you select. I think it's down to the following bmps (in that format) not being in the Orb folder of the new embedded exe

Code: [Select]
If,%ScrollBox_Orb%,Equal,2,RegWrite,HKLM,0x1,Tmp_Default\Software\StartIsBack,OrbBitmap,"X:\Program Files\StartIsBack\Orbs\shamrock_54.bmp"
If,%ScrollBox_Orb%,Equal,3,RegWrite,HKLM,0x1,Tmp_Default\Software\StartIsBack,OrbBitmap,"X:\Program Files\StartIsBack\Orbs\StartIsBack_Ei8htOrb_v2_by_PainteR.bmp"
If,%ScrollBox_Orb%,Equal,4,RegWrite,HKLM,0x1,Tmp_Default\Software\StartIsBack,OrbBitmap,"X:\Program Files\StartIsBack\Orbs\win7_54.bmp"

tested in Win10PE SE x64 and x32

Hi Sephiroth

have you tried

and ensure that you follow win10 iso requirements  ie
Version 1703 is build 15063 (not supported)
Version 1607 is build 14393 (supported)

Hi Jeline
on the runtime website, under the products/downloads heading on the very bottom of the page there's
a WinPE Plugin section, if you click on 'more info' it takes you to a step by step run-thro of using their
plugin with winbuilder
you can also find  Lancelots better adaptation of that plugin already on this site via  link

oop's just seen the previous post Lancelot got there before me

Hi mrabdalkadr

or i guess it would be much simpler to change that timeout in the 'create iso' plugin in the 'Finals' section. It's in the Multiboot options
on the right hand side and then hit the Create new ISO button or pref. build it that way in the first place

on a prebuilt one you could also edit the menu.1st file in the ISO\TI folder and then rebuild the iso from FINALS-Create ISO plugin

Hi scott33
I guess you need to check what your source actually is and if it's actually W8.1, which is what the error suggests then use the
Win8.1SE project not the Win8PE SE one and even then, ensure your using a recommended source version as described in the help section
whichever project you end up deciding on

Questions and Support / Re: will not buildcannot locate images.exe?

I imagine the message says 'imagex.exe' not images.exe
have you read through the guides under FAQ & Tutorials section and kept to the recommendations
How To Guide For New Users...
FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions - Introduction - Beginner questions

such as turning off the antivirus stuff temporarily and keeping the PE inst path as short as poss. etc etc etc

I dont use the chrome plugin myself, but looking at the file it seems if you've
selected 'latest container' on the interface then you'd put the appropriate file in same directory
as plugin file (although it won't be seen on the interface menu as its a hidden file) or if you select 'provided files' in the dropdown menu then you put your own files in the folder that appears when you bug on the 'provide' button.
if there are multiple file containers available for different plugin versions, the matching
one is normally listed in the variables section of the plugin i believe.

this is all shown on the first post of this thread i believe, and the mods on this forum are very keen on everyone
reading the loads of helpfiles available before posting
regards APT

the path looks OK but did you extract the Macrium_Reflect.script file from the 7z and place that in the req path

Hi ccl9nn
Have you tried the plugins in the WriteMedia folder of your project ?
and checked out the  FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions - Introduction - Beginner questions

Plugins / EasyUEFI Plugin
« on: March 13, 2017, 01:47:16 AM »
EasyUEFI allows you to manipulate the EFI boot entries, manage the EFI system Partition and fix EFI boot issues
Comprehensive EFI/UEFI boot option management functions, such as create, delete, edit EFI/UEFI boot options,
   change EFI/UEFI boot sequence, etc.
Backup, restore, rebuild EFI System Partition (ESP) or move EFI System Partition (ESP) to another drive. New
   Supported OS: EFI-based Windows Vista, 7, 8, 10, 2008, 2012, 2016

maybe not a good real life example as Q-Dir Nenad is part of the std Win10PE_SE_xxxx-xx-xx download so will be in the normal apps tree i.e.
\Win10PE\Projects\Win10PESE\Apps\File Tasks\Q-Dir Nenad.script. In this example as long as it's not a required or part of another plugin ie a plugins file,  just delete it

If however you download a plugin from the downloads via the downloads section say
it will place the SwiftSearch.script in
and create a link in

Not sure about xp but in my Win10PESE x32 build,  it fails with an exit error

[Failed]  (EaseUS Partition Master 11.9) FileRename - Failed to rename file: [%BaseDir%\Target\Win10PESE\Program Files\EaseUS\Partition Master\bin\MSVCP60,3.dll] to:[%BaseDir%\Target\Win10PESE\Program Files\EaseUS\Partition Master\bin\MSVCP60.dll] :Cannot create a file when that file already exists

as innounp extracts the msvcp60.dll file from the downloaded epm.exe in the first place, along with msvcp60,1.dll and msvcp60,3.dll
using your plugin EaseUS Partition Master 11.9 dated 2017.02.25. Just about to investigate unless you have any quick ideas ?
