I assume SumatraPDF 3.0 is on Gena is NOT the Mark Modified Version and was working well also on x86 and x64
You should not assume
and such assumptions cause unwanted confisions
As far as Acronis TI - I have not used Gena version although my plugin was taken from it and others (there where many)... I believe you follow Mark and I chose not to because of confusion..
Mine have one major difference = only need BartPE to make fully functional 2015/2016 x64..
I follow Mark only at TI 2016 plugin since Mark followed updating existing plugin,
sadly Mark recreates plugins and I don't have time to check... You seemed to have time ;) anyway life goes ....
Apps plugins are shared between projects, nothing special to Gena or SE,
only difference is, about Project Admin Personal Preferences,
I prefer adding TI plugin to Gena server, Chris don't, that is all
Adding a plugin to server give us ability to update in time following end user feedback,
plugins only on topics, will get old in time (still useful, they give inspirations to create a new updated plugin with new ideas.
I am updating Acronis TI plugins since I guess TI 9.5, and personally I don't use any Acronis on my computers
The biggest issue I see you facing is revision numbers as they get increased and edited offen by Mark, so posting mine will result in a conflict of interest..
there is only 2 official plugins that have revision numbers ;) and only 1 increases (other same for years now ;))
one of the reason of this 2 special case is, current builder don't have major, minor, sub, subsub version scheme like %90 of softwares on internet,
I could recently find time to workaround this problem this summer, and Chris and Galapo will slowly adopt in time Problem is:
When end user rewrites a plugin by copy-paste history notes, ex: Prz42/Mark , it is not easy to follow changes, since we do not have big free time...
When end user reconstruct a plugin from an ancient initial version, it is not easy to follow changes, since we do not have big free time...
When end user feedback about a current plugin about some points/lines, it is easy to follow for server admins (Chris, Lancelot, Galapo)
else, on my side "Winmerge" (and chris BCompare ;)) says there are lots of changes on plugin other than the one written in history notes,
we have life, family and job, we postpone (sometimes forget).... We have things that takes attention to our interest more than supporting plugins on our free hobby time ;)
Well it is natural one like to re create a plugin
You could change current TI plugin to "only x64" plugin, by reading and understanding previous adjustments,
instead it was easier for you to re create a new plugin since following another coder logic is not easy
from this point:
Don't expect us to catch your code logic quickly
Yes we can create seperate plugins to x86 - x64 ,
it is a matter of choice
I guess logic behind your argument is,
creating x86/x64 plugins becomes too complex for complicated plugins,
which I agree to this logic.
Since Acronis now provides only x64, we can end current plugin on Gena server which support many older versions,
and continue with your "TI 2015/2016 only x64" plugins, which we can put our experience from other plugin in time
(I already made some adjustments, written on other topic ;))
Well, life goes, as you see we tend to clean confusions, slowly slowly with available time
