PC Packed - (Plugin Creator Packed)
PC Innounp - (Plugin Creator Innounp)

updated, with 'Provide File' Options.

This gives plugin feature :
"out of box working" + "easy updating"

@lancelot,
Tried PC Packed as advised but had a little problem. However, I got it to work with some manual editing.
The plugin I am trying to create is ExamDiff. Put all the required info and press goooooo
I got the plugin created but the ProgramEXE is always "FSCapture" in the script. In addition, I got a screen popup: ExeName NOT FOUND, no icon created....
Here's the screenshots:

Hi topbundcp,

I will check not to fall back to FSCapture.exe

Besides,

I downloaded ed19.zip - PrestoSoft (ZIP, without installation)
from
http://www.prestosoft.com/edp_examdiff.asp#download

1) ... ed19.zip
2) ExamDiff.exe
3) Goooo

it looks ok to me.. ????

I will check not to fall back to FSCapture.exe

I could not reproduce with:
1) ... ed19.zip
2) Blabla.exe
3) Goooo

resulted with expected warning ;)
 and
with expected
%ProgramEXE%=Blabla.exe

maybe something related to ExampDiff Pro.7z you use ???
and be sure you use BuilderSE.exe  ???

btw, on your picture,
I notice Utils\"Miscellaneous Tools"
plugin..
it will be depricated in future, I guess you are looking for:
\Download\UtilsY\"Workaround Bugs..."
plugin

Thanks again for quick response.
I just tried ed19.zip and got no warning and the script works correctly. The version of ExamDiff I am using has multiple files, I don't know if it makes any difference.

I'll try another app that I use Makescript and work perfectly. Will report back.

Thanks.

It maybe related to .7z you use !!!

Avoid using MakeScript, plugins you create with that will fail in future

to reproduce here, you can post ExampDiff Pro.7z

I wonder how such thing you report can happen.

+
On PC Packed, If you click "Options -->"
you can use "Enable 'Point Folder'" option,

so at step 1, you can select the folder where ExamDiff files are,
this way 7z file created by PC Packed plugin

Yes, I did try both and still got the Warning & FSCapture.exe. However, You are abolutely correct, something is wrong with examdiff. I just tried "Treesize Professional" and it works perfectly without Warning and the Treesize Icon displayed correctly.

Yes, I also use the latest build of Winbuilder, downloaded yesterday since I had some problem with an app using Net framework (ShowkeyPlus.exe) that KYHI posted. When I add Net Framework then other apps stop working. Turn out that I need to add "Visual C++ runtime" for any apps developed with Visuall C++ to work. Strange thing is why did they work without "Visual C++ runtime" if Net Framework is not present.

TreeSize plugin already available at
Download\AppYGS\File Tasks\"TreeSize..."

*
rarely adding one dependency (.net on our case)
trigger other dependency (vc++ on your case)

although application work without adding both of them...
 rare case ;).

*
Well I can not reproduce here, I don't have ExampDiff Pro.7z ,
anyway let me know if you figure out.

Yes, I resolved the problem. Examdiff has a folder called "Plugin" and it has a 7-zip folder containing 3 files:  7-zip.dll, 7z.dll and 7z.exe. I guess they are old version so I replaced the 3 files with the latest version of 7-zip (15.12) and re-run PC Packed then everything is perfect. No warning..., Icon displayed correctly.

Anyway, thank you for all the helps and guide me to the right direction.

BTW, is there a stand alone version of this PC Packed that I can use without going thru the Winbuilder ?

Well I could not reproduce, it is nice you figure out

No there is no standalone version.

I guess I know what you are looking for,
There is a hidden option - no rescan -
To create a series of plugins without waiting refresh,
I will make it visible when I find free time... ( when I get back to my pc)

For now, inside PC Packed plugin:
DoNOTReScanScripts_CheckBox="Do NOT ReScanPlugins",0,3,107,300,132,18,False
--„Äč
DoNOTReScanScripts_CheckBox="Do NOT ReScanPlugins",1,3,107,300,132,18,True

With this setting,
 After creating plugins,
Click " Refresh" button to see them on builder gui.

Good night.

Hello Lancelot,
Just want to update what I found. I ran into the same problem again with AOMEI Partition Assist and apparently, both ExamDiff and AOMEI Partition Assist contain: 7zip.exe and 7zip.dll, PC Packed just remember the name of the last build. What I did this time is to delete all 7zip's in their folders. Rebuild both apps with no problem. No popup warning, icon displayed correctly.
I guess they bundle the 7zip's to extract all the files during installation and they must have used the old version of 7zip.

You can re-create the problem by downloading the free trial version of ExamDiff, install it in WinPE then zip it and try.
http://www.prestosoft.com/edp_examdiffpro.asp

Cheers !!!

NOTE: I have the latest 7zip v. 15.12 in my PC.

new "Plugin Creator Packed" plugin on servers,
you can update using small green download button at right top of plugin.

new: now after clicking "Options" button, "Do NOT ReScan Plugins" option available.

after creating plugins, click "Rescan" button near "Do NOT ReScan Plugins" checkbox,
to see them on builder interface.

I have found that when using PC Packed - if you copy/paste in the name of the .exe - PC Packed remembers the exe name of the last plugin built

So, you have to actually "Type" in the name of the new exe, otherwise PC Packed will revert back to the last exe saved, when you hit Goo..

I always copy paste !

just retested with :
- Example button
- ExampDiff Pro7.7z
- ExamDiff.exe
- Goooo

still ok here.

I am sure you both use builder provided withing zip package
ex:
http://win10se.cwcodes.net/BuilderSE.exe

I can not reproduce, still I will try to workaround by putting a button near 2) tonight ...
 I hope that will fix....

I have C/P many times and it reverts back to last saved exe - so I always type

C/P in pins and then hit Refresh - pin entry gone..
Type it in and refresh - pin entry saved..
