Hello,

I've recently switched from Win7PE x86 to Win8PE x64 and I have a plugin that I need to update

I have this section which is working
Code: [Select]
Echo,"Loading registry hive: [software]"
RegHiveLoad,Tmp_Software,%RegSoftware%
Echo,"Writing new values on registry hive.."
RegWrite,HKLM,0x1,Tmp_Software\Wow6432Node\ShadowStor\ShadowProtectPE\Settings,"LoggingDir", "E:\Program Files\Shadow_ASR\"
RegWrite,HKLM,0x4,Tmp_Software\Wow6432Node\ShadowStor\ShadowProtectPE\Settings,"LoggingEnabled", 0x00000001
RegHiveUnLoad,Tmp_Software

However it appears that in Win8PE I also need to update these entries in the user hive as well as software (which has not been required on Win7PE)

I have tried the following, but it hasn't updated the applicable entries, so it's obviously not correct

Code: [Select]
Echo,"Loading registry hive: [user]"
RegHiveLoad,Tmp_User,%RegUser%
Echo,"Writing new values on registry hive.."
RegWrite,HKLM,0x1,Tmp_User\Software\ShadowStor\ShadowProtectPE\Settings,"LoggingDir", "E:\Program Files\Shadow_ASR\"
RegWrite,HKLM,0x4,Tmp_User\Software\ShadowStor\ShadowProtectPE\Settings,"LoggingEnabled", 0x00000001
RegHiveUnLoad,Tmp_User

Would appreciate advice on correct syntax for user hive

Thanks

VW

first of all I believe you use wrong terminology,

I guess you switched from
Win7PE SE to Win8.1SE

you should have noticed , Win8.1SE is not PE following its name

*
There is already a ShadowProtectPE plugin available, see
\Downloads\AppYGS\HD Tasks\ShadowProtectPE - Prz42 - Bulletin

check if it works fine and fits.
I feel Prz42 will help you further when required.

Tip:
"Adding 3rd party plugins: \Downloads\ - MyPlugins_Direct - Yomi"
topic have info about Bulletin plugins
Additional Plugins - Bulletin
