Assume I have a text file "myinfo.txt" or special folder "mylogfiles" and want to have quick access to it.

Therefore I would like to put a shortcut on

a) the Desktop

b) the TaskBar

How can I achieve this?

Assume
you have a plugin creator tool..

There is:
Utils\PC Packed (Plugin Creator Packed)

play with it to learn syntax about creating shortcut.

*
Assume
there is also help document...

There is:
Macro Library
http://theoven.org/index.php?board=14.0

spend some time to learn syntax side by side with Plugin Creator Packed.

I assume you will follow feedback.

I read now a while through the given links but found no hint on how to  put a simple (!) shortcut into TaskBar or Desktop.

Especially the Util/PC packed is designed to create a full plugin with an executable on the Desktop.

But I need not a full plugin but only a link to a single text file (NOT executable).

Lets say I have  a folder AAAA with and execuable bbbbb.exe
I created successfully a plugin with Utils/PC packed

The folder AAAA contains additionally a text file ccccc.txt
How can I put a shortcut to this text file into TaskBar resp. on Desktop?
In Utils/PC packed there is no corresponding checkbox.

Maybe you could give me a hint of how to specify it as a parameter in generated *.script file?

Hi Peter,

For a TXT file located in your program's folder, you can do this:
Code: [Select]
Add_Shortcut,Desktop,,%PE_Programs%\%ProgramFolder%\ccccc.txt

I think this would work as well:
Code: [Select]
Add_Shortcut,Desktop,,ccccc.txt

Regards,
Galapo.
