This is a very useful tool built into windows that can easily be used to create walkthroughs for anything(Especially how to use PE or Win10PESE Project).  I am making stupid mistakes somewhere trying to get this working.

I am adding variables:
Code: [Select]
%psrsrc32%=%InstallSRC%\Windows\System32
%psrsrcWow%=%InstallSRC%\Windows\SysWOW64
%psrtrg32%=%TargetDir%\Windows\System32
%psrtrgWow%=%TargetDir%\Windows\SysWOW64

And copying files:
Code: [Select]
FileCopy,%psrsrc32%\psr.exe,%psrtrg32%\
FileCopy,%psrsrcWow%\psr.exe,%psrtrgWow%\

And Dependancies:
Code: [Select]
Require_FileQ,uireng.dll
Require_FileQ,aepic.dll
Require_FileQ,msdrm.dll

Can anyone confirm this should work? I am having issues.

**EDIT

It was stupid.  I forgot to copy the psr.exe.mui from en-US\

Hi bob.omb,

you are on a wrong track.

**EDIT

It was stupid.  I forgot to copy the psr.exe.mui from en-US\

Utils\PC Packed -> click small "e" button at right bottom of plugin

on new plugin, following your post, only 4 lines enough :
Code: [Select]
[Process]
Require_FileQ,psr.exe
Require_FileQ,uireng.dll
Require_FileQ,aepic.dll
Require_FileQ,msdrm.dll

I did not know that would work for exe files too.  So im guessing anything in system32 and wow46 will work with requirefileQ?

Code: [Select]
[Process]
Require_FileQ,psr.exe
Require_FileQ,uireng.dll
Require_FileQ,aepic.dll
Require_FileQ,msdrm.dll
Require_FileQ,msoert2.dll

This thing is just a little bit better than snipping tool, once mht is converted to htm, that's the only drawback.

Thank you I missed one. msoert2 allows the recording to be viewed at the end.  Thanks. I will package this with MHT2HTM, that way all step recordings are easily converted into htm for offline viewing and sharing, or copied to a website for easy step by step PE instructions. I will most likely use it to create guides on how to use my build.  Users could even make recordings of issues they're having, and it shows which modules are loaded during the recording which could help with some development inadvertently

Plugin Works great! I suggest you package with attached plugin with step recorder. (As one plugin or with a suggestion on step recorder interface to add this as well)

Step recorder creates MHT files.  Internet explorer can read MHT but Chrome and firefox cannot without plugins.  MHT2HTM converts them perfectly. Then can be viewed in Firefox/Chrome or copied into web page easily for walkthroughs.

Attached.

Its real name is MHT2HTM it is freeware.  Select the MHT file and click "start" with default settings

Is there a "Require_FileQ" type of command, to get files from source > boot.wim - instead of -  source > install.wim?

Hi bob.omb

for now no,
since it is very rarely required for some project specific things.
ex:
System Recovery: http://theoven.org/index.php?topic=2266

Still :
There are 2 variables to change different kind of source for your personal plugins.

%BootSRC%
%InstallSRC%

ex:
%BootSRC%=D:\S\Win10_x64_4\sources\winre_wim\N
%InstallSRC%=D:\S\Win10_x64_4\sources\install_wim\1

Well you will not need %BootSRC% for your personal plugins,
since we add ALL working project special things to projects via plugins.
