Use USB instead of CD/DVD

Download and use Rufus to burn your ISO to USB

Rufus: https://rufus.akeo.ie/

Hi,
perhaps i'm wrong.... ans sorry for my poor english. If you don't understand me, forget me.
Can you use procmon to trace? it's easy, i think !
If not, my idea is :
- your contexte is winpe from a cd. Winpe is running in a "ramdisk". So "X:" is like a disk.
- program writing to the disk write in a scratchspace. It's a write disk in the ramdisk.
Do you know the size of your scratchespace? ( i don't know the name in winbuilder )
If you program extract  files and need large space, it can be the issue.
A program that doesn't display error in a box is a surprise and not a friendly program.

Hi, farhook,
Sorry for my poor English and i not sure i very well understand...
Procmon shows you : CBUI.EXE wants to write to y:\....
Your picture doesn't show a drive Y:
I'm not a guru in winbuilder nor winpese, but a suppose Y: is the first booting media (usb or cdrom)
Perhaps i'm wrong, but what is your "Y:" ?
Hope question help you

Hi farhook,

It is a usual case where some rare application wants to write info to its executable folder.

Y: is not writable, application gives error.

But you do not give enough info to reproduce your case.

Usual solution for your usual case in theory without knowing what you are doing there:
Create a plugin for your application, enable "Run From Ram" on your plugin.

(Utils\PC Packed -> Plugin Creator Packed )

Better have some practice on Win10PESE before posting on Win10PESE section
We already provide simple solutions to usual cases.
