Just downloaded Win7PESE and tried to build a basic Win7pe, but the build process stops with the network.script with the following error.

RegWrite - Type: [0x4] Section [HKLM\Tmp_System\ControlSet001\Enum\Root\LEGACY_TCPIPREG] Key [NextInstance]: 1

The only changes I made to the build was to remove some of the apps and change the boot manager to standard.

I've tried to build on a Win10 Pro x64 system and a Win7 Pro x32 system, same error on both systems.

I've been using the Win10PESE to make Win10 builds with no problems.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Thanks,

Ok, finally got it to work.  I had to go find a really OLD windows 7 ISO which fixed the build error but then I started getting missing files when booting it.   On a wim i decided to run my Win10PESE and download the Win7 project in there and that one works just fine.  Not sure why the Win7PESE does not work.

Thanks,
