Download (v2) and File 31.0.1650.63:

Download (v6) and File 55.0.2883.87:

The script is splitted in Gui and File part. Place both parts in the same Directory.
v6 support both Container-Files: Rename the old Container to 'GoogleChrome_v31.0.1650.63_File.Script', place it in the same folder and select one of this with scrollbox in the script.

As third option you can use your installed Chrome version.
Select 'provided files' from the scrollbox and place following content from your installed Applicationfolder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application)

  • Folder with VersionNr.
  • Chrome.exe
  • chrome.VisualElementsManifest.xml

Now have fun

Hi Lancelot,

I have update  GoogleChrome to v6 and Filecontainer to 55.0.2883.87.
This version v6 only works with the old container 31.0.1650.63 and latest 55.0.2883.87
The provide file option I have integrate in the scrollbox, you can select it here. Only the application-folder from an installed version is now needed for a latest version.
The preferences are now deployed with a master-preferences file from enterprise-deployment. It run at the first start from GoogleChrome. It is an easy way to set prefs.

Download Script:
  • Download it from first post
Download latest Container:
  • Download it from first post

best regards

Hi 2aCD,

I just tried your Chrome plugin and it works just fine  :great:

Contrary to what I thought, it does not occupy more Ram than Firefox.
Tested with 3 same tabs opened (You tube, Facebook, paypal), they use ~ the same Ram size, a good competitor to Firefox
Opera 12.18 is lighter but older, with sometimes compatibility issues.

Thanks for your updated plugin with latest version

Reworked your chrome plugin..
lightened the code.. And wanted you to see..

This is how I implement ProvideFiles side by side with ContainerFiles and File Attachments

Uses provide files folder as constant source...
if not exist providefiles\program.exe > extract container file
if not exist containerfile > download containerfile from server
LaunchButton > Working

[ Attachment Invalid Or Does Not Exist ]
