Hi Galapo,

I got a pm today asking how to use plugin manager from command line,
 to automate custom build selections,

I guess with a cmd,
  first running pluginmanager.exe , than starting builder, than starting build....

Can you put a "Read ME" button with instructions,
 and maybe a .cmd example with PluginManager-Meal.ini ;)

I guess this would be help  :smile:

Here are the commandline options for PluginManager.exe

CREATE:
PluginManager.exe create Path_To_Project_Directory folder.project Settings_File Base_Directory NoVariables|SaveVariables SaveState|NoSaveState *PluginManager.script <DL:Level|SL:Level-Level|SN:Name1|SN:Name2>

For example:
Code: [Select]
PluginManager.exe create "e:\PE\Projects\Gena" "e:\PE\Projects\Gena\folder.project" "%GlobalTemplates%\PluginManager\Gena\SavedSettings.ini" "e:\PE\Projects" NoVariables SaveState "*PluginManager.script"

RESTORE:
PluginManager.exe restore Path_To_Project_Directory folder.project Settings_File Base_Directory NoVariables|SaveVariables SaveState|NoSaveState

For example:
Code: [Select]
PluginManager.exe restore "e:\PE\Projects\Gena" "e:\PE\Projects\Gena\folder.project" "%GlobalTemplates%\PluginManager\Gena\SavedSettings.ini" NoVariables SaveState

Hope this helps!

Regards,
Galapo.

Hi Galapo,

following this topic:
http://TheOven.org/index.php?topic=2088

There is a problem with plugin manager and here is the way to reproduce:

+ download any project (082 used during test)
+ Utils\PC Packed -> hit "Example 7z" button
+ Utils\PC Packed -> hit "Gooooo" button
+ See AppsMy\2Prepare\FS_Capture plugin on builder
+ Utils\Update XXX --> Update button
+ After update See AppsMy\2Prepare\FS_Capture plugin on builder
--> you will get error "List index out of bounds (0)"

Reason behind:
PluginManager changed this:
pTextBox1=,1,0,1,43,75,21,,"__'Start Menu' Folder"
-- to this --->
pTextBox1=,1,0,1,43,75,21,"__'Start Menu' Folder"

*
Maybe there is other faster way to reproduce ....

****
Keep in mind, Utils\Update -> have PluginManager.exe inside
so when you update PluginManager.exe
update and TEST both plugins :

Utils\PluginManager
Utils\Update

I hope easy to fix, without having free time I leave rest to you.

Hi Galapo,

Since you are busy,

I updated
Utils\Update XXX
on servers with disabled and hidden preserve settings checkbox

***
when you update PluginManager.exe
-->
Utils\PluginManager
+
Also update
Utils\Update XXX
--> Psrv_Plugin_Settings_CheckBox visible , default true
and
-->
[Settings_Default]
....
//Set,%Psrv_Plugin_Settings_CheckBox%,True,Permanent
-->
Set,%Psrv_Plugin_Settings_CheckBox%,True,Permanent

So sorry for the big delay in response!!

We have moved house, settled in, and were without phone and internet for a month. (Yes, a first-world problem.) Also had lots on at work.

I finally got to testing and identifying the issue. I was able to reproduce and have fixed it. An updated version of PluginManager is now available from the project servers.

However, I wasn't sure exactly what to do with the other plugins that use PluginManager.exe. They aren't updated yet.

Regards,
Galapo.

preserve settings checkbox
-->
it simply saves settings before update,
than update made
than settings restore

instruction given on previous post,
after upload, just make a test with
Utils\Update... -> Update button

to see settings preserved

@Galapo:

Thank you for updating.

Just a little follow-up question:

How do I update my local WinBuilder installation with your new PluginManager?

When I click in section

   Utils/PluginManager

on the tiny little green arrow-down button: Will that COMPLETELY download and setup your new PluginManager version here in my local WinBuilder installation?

Or do I have to do something additionally?

Will the download/refresh described above also update the "Utils/PC Packed" procedure?

Thank you
Peter
